"The most disrespected woman in America, is the Black Woman. The most un-protected person in America is the Black Woman. The most neglected person in America, is the Black Woman"
These are the powerful words of Malcolm X. Today, you could substitute 'America' for 'the world' and the statement still rings true. This t-shirt seeks to acknowledge and salute a list (by no means exhaustive) of black and specifically African women, who have represented and held it down but whose stories have never been fully told at the level that they should.
Compared to their male counterparts, these women's influence, impact and inspiration deserves to be told and retold. This t-shirt plays a small part in saluting some of the greatest African 'Sheroes' of our time.
This is for all the melanin rich Queens and Empresses, big up!
